Clear and Simple: The System
Posted on 24 April 2009

We understand the law we know the red tape. It is our job to work your claim through all avenues. It is your job to first put yourself and your family in the hands of Workaid & Associates and then to relax and let WorkAid & Associates take care of your Claim.

When a Claim is in Limbo

If you find that you are waiting and waiting to hear news of your claim and do not seem to be able to determine where your claim sits, you are not alone. We deal with many claims that appear to be in limbo. In our vast experience we find that a claim may be in limbo because more medical information may be required from your doctor. Or, it may have been determined that you are going to need to go for an assessment at an Evaluation Centre. And finally it may have been decided that initial (or additional) Physiotherapy or Psychiatric Counseling is required.

By meeting with us, we will be able to determine what is happening with your claim and how best to get it back on track.

When a Claim is allowed

Most of our clients, prior to turning their claim over to us, have assumed that once it has been allowed there is no other opportunity to seek additional or supplementary support. After the initial entitlement has been granted you may find you are just not getting better. If you have just received news that your claim has been allowed, congratulations!

The most important piece of advise we can offer you is don't stop seeing the doctor and keeping your journal...Why? Fast forward two years and you realize that you are just not getting better, or perhaps the injury that plagued you is back or worse. Because the initial entitlement has been granted you are wondering if you are able to reopen the claim.

Reviewing such an issue or Claim File Management Counseling is a very large part of our service at WorkAid & Associates. We can start this process for you right away so that if you are in a situation to file a new claim or seek additional financial support you are prepared.

When a Claim is denied

There is nothing black and white about how a claim is processed and receiving a denial letter is one of the most frustrating and upsetting pieces of news you will receive. The reality is that every claim will have many gray areas and loopholes. As someone who has paid into their insurance benefits faithfully you may have thought you could automatically depend upon the security of financial support but are now faced with a mountain of long-term care bills.
